Millions are now flooding from impure worship to the mountain of JWN.
Nice faux WT speak JimmyPage
the past few months we've welcomed a lot of newbies who have contributed a lot to this forum.
some quality discussions are taking place, the likes of which i haven't seen here for a while.
in addition, many are taking action to expose the watchtower society for who they really are.

for those who are still in the jw/wt religion for whatever reason , and to whatever extent, i ask :.
how high would you rate your moral standards ?.
where do you stand on telling lies, upholding truth, deceiving others etc ?.
Wobble, were you raised as a JW?

We all do what we have to.
I'm comfortable sitting in a meeting and not listening, I could not go in the ministry.
i have just read the first ever post here made by simon in march 2000.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/46/1/welcome.
i wanted to ask, was this forum originaly created for active jw's to discuss study ideas and encouraging points from the watchtower, etc?.
if so, when did it start accepting non jw's and exjw's?.
Yes Timmy it was.
hi, everyone my name is becky i've been in and out of the organization it wasnt untill 2 years ago i finally put a end to going at all and havent been back since.it was so hard cause i have family in it and was grown up with those thoughts and rules way of life i guess you call it.my head is still in confusion most of the time.i'm currently going to a baptist church and i love it just when witnesess are brought up it upsets me even though it shouldnt cause i'm no long going to it.i feel like i dont know who to believe anymore or what is even good to read anymore.i'm on facebook alot and see alot of things on there but dont know the right people to talk to on there either about it,so i found this here.i'm 33 years old and dont think i should be struggling with such a thing but wow it is hard to get out of your head.i like reading the bible but sometimes i dont understand what is being said which is why the watchtowers i thought helped me but im finding they didnt i guess, yep confused as ever...
Welcome! You're a similar age to me; as a born-in I can relate to the way you feel.
You need to try on different viewpoints a bit like a coat and see how they fit. You'll gradually work out which of your opinions are your own and which ones are cuckoos in the nest planted by the Watchtower.
one thing that has occurred to me recently is how much money the society makes from being registered as a charity in certain countries.
in the uk, the government contributes 28 pence for every pound that is donated (referred to as "gift aid"), effectively increasing the value of each contribution from 1 to 1.28. not surprisingly, the society in the uk are doing very well out of this arrangement, and last year according to the charity commission's website they made a turnover of 25.7 million, with profits of 7.8 million.
i calculate that approximately 5 million of this must have been generated by gift aid.. the thing is, to my knowledge recent laws that have been passed by parliament stipulating that a charity must be in the "public benefit".
Someone (cedars ) find out who we should write to and let's abuse their inbox. Combined force works best.
the faithful slave has put out a list of things they think jw's should have on hand, due to the closeness of armaggedon.
if jw's dont have such a list they can ask their local elders for a copy of such.... .
does anyone know about such a list ???.

Yeah I've heard the preparedness stuff before. JWs were encouraged to have bug-out bags.

(thanks to augustin for bringing this to our attention in another thread.

Marking. 607 was the beginning for me and Jonsson's book convinced me that the society was dead wrong about it.
